FoamFinger ("we," "us," or "our") is a hockey pick'em application developed and operated independently. We can be reached at support@foamfinger.com.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly when you create an account or use the app:

• Account information: Your email address, username, and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth).
• Profile information: Your chosen avatar and the NHL team you support.
• Contact information: Your phone number and mailing address, collected during onboarding. This information is used for demographic analysis and to understand our user base. It is not shared with third parties or used for marketing without your explicit consent.
• Picks and predictions: The game predictions you submit, their outcomes, and your resulting IQ point history.
• Device information: Your push notification token (if you grant permission), device type, and operating system version, used solely to deliver in-app notifications.

We do not collect precise location data, payment information, or browsing history.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and maintain your account and session.
• Display your picks, IQ score, and leaderboard position.
• Send push notifications reminding you to submit picks before games begin (only if you grant permission).
• Analyze aggregate user demographics to improve the product and understand our audience.
• Respond to support inquiries.
• Detect and prevent abuse or fraud.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers: We use Supabase (database and authentication infrastructure) and Expo (push notification delivery) to operate the app. These providers process your data on our behalf and are contractually bound to protect it.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of FoamFinger, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or in-app notice before this occurs.

Your username and IQ score are visible to other users on the leaderboard. No other personal information (email, phone number, or address) is publicly visible.

5. Push Notifications

If you grant permission, we send push notifications to remind you to submit picks before upcoming games. You can withdraw this permission at any time through your device's notification settings (Settings → Notifications → FoamFinger) or from within the app.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or fraud-prevention purposes.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information by updating your profile in the app.
• Delete your account and associated data by emailing support@foamfinger.com.
• Opt out of push notifications at any time through your device settings.

8. Children's Privacy

FoamFinger is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us at support@foamfinger.com.

9. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS) and Row Level Security policies on our database. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.

The app uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
